advisories!

to bear in mind when choosing whether to interact.

there is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. books are well written, or they are badly written. that is all.

ONE

I like to play around with uncomfortable concepts and make weird little guys with an unhealthy dose of freak. and when I say weird, I mean weird ; there is precious little in the realm of the imaginary that I will not entertain, and still less that will truly distress me. if something does, friends will hear of it from me; strangers I will block freely.

I have no specific dni/dnf criteria because of this. you are welcome to follow, unfollow, mute, or block me at any time, for any reason; in fact, I encourage doing so. I will exercise the same liberties. generally speaking, I will block minors, "maps", bots, and anyone who conflates media interests with personal morals.

two

three

some warnings for concepts I like to engage with in fiction (don't like, don't follow, etc): m/m, f/f, m/f, multishipping, nonmonogamy, corruption arcs, medical fetish/horror, erotic gore, bdsm, toxic dynamics, age gaps, manipulated consent, dubcon, occasional noncon, sadomasochism, blood, knifeplay, torture, breath control & asphyxiation, erotic flesh/blood consumption, etc. the list goes on.

while I am imperfect, as no mortal flesh is perfect, I try to be kind to others and will not tolerate wanton cruelty. nor do I put up with bigotry of any kind — including within collaborative roleplay spaces, in-character or out.

four

interests!

stuff i like to read, write, study, & play with.

while i rarely share them on social media, i tend to connect the stories and characters i love the most with the songs and soundscapes that make me happy. those with the (mis)fortune of access to my private messages may attest to this: even when not actively writing something, my mind will drift around music i can connect to it and compel me to share it with people i enjoy.

my tastes in music have evolved with the years, but they tend towards the dark, the gothic, and the atmospheric on the day-to-day. having been raised on the classical canon and trained to sing accordingly, i'm also partial to a number of pieces and composers of the era. and, of course, when i'm in the mood, sometimes i'll still be caught listening to my old industrial and neofolk/folk metal faves.

i've been roleplaying for nearly as long as i could type on the internet. given the age of the internet, that's quite a long time. although much of my time now is taken up in the roleplay community surrounding ffxiv, much of my activity before then was spent immersed in the original worlds friends built around tabletop campaigns, and before that, original worlds based in urban and high fantasy. i tend to gravitate towards pathfinder 1e, but i'm comfortable with learning new rulesets if the accompanying game is sufficiently compelling.

important: while i enjoy roleplaying within the context of published fantasy worlds, i do not roleplay as established characters from their canons, nor do i write fanfiction about them. please don't ask me to.

rpgs & storytelling!

it will probably come as no surprise that the voracious reader of childhood grew into someone fond of video games and TTRPGs as a storytelling medium. many of the roleplaying scenarios or worldbuilds I will engage in have their basis in the tales a published game or its premise have to tell. to me every game is a kind of dollhouse, the characters within it dolls given into my hands to shape and dress up as I please. this said, I am not and have never been a fanfiction writer; it is far more likely that, once the love of a particular game has taken root in my heart, its flowers and fruit perhaps something you might taste on the air of the original works or headcanons I produce by their inspiration.

gothic & horror media!

I don't know what you expected!
and I mean horror, or gothic media. not gorefests, "cosy" horror, or those vampires that don't do anything.

incidentally, I also host the annual noncon november art & writing event created as a follow-up to kinktober, for those who haven't yet had their fill of the grotesquely erotic after october has passed. it goes without saying that there are no warnings on the carrd site linked. if you're sensitive about noncon material, associated tropes, or eroticised violence in general, this is your signal to tab out (literally).

art & social history!

there's not really a way to encompass this with a short title, so i'm claiming the history buff moniker. it's worth noting that history is a living, ever-moving thing and my thoughts often include the present or near-present in my conception of "history". there are also many, many living people, groups & nations presently being consigned to "history" through things as subtle as only being discussed in the past tense to outright eliminationism. in short, my interests lie with the stories people tell about themselves and the world they inhabit — thus this, and the interests above! I do not engage with any art or hobby as something entirely separate from the others; all of them are in some way connected.

I do not consider you to be truly alive. Ergo, I will not be guilty of murder if I kill you.
